WILSON, BASIL EUGENE The passing of Basil Eugene Wilson, of Burtts Corner, NB, husband of the late Jean (Jones) Wilson, occurred on June 9, 2009 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 25, 1926 in Burtts Corner, NB, he was the son of the late George and Mildred (West) Wilson. Basil was a farmer, forester and carpenter in the Fredericton area. He was a member of Burtts Corner Church of Christ and a former member of Royal Canadian Legion, Millville Branch, NB. He enjoyed gardening and hunting. Basil is survived by his two sons, Mark Wilson of Waasis, NB and Jonathan Wilson (Melanie) of Spruce Grove, AB; three granddaughters, Hannah, Jessica and Rachel; four sisters, Lois Godsoe of Hainesville, NB, Iona Brewer of Burtts Corner, NB, Joan Wilson of Toronto, ON and Rosalene Urquhart (Garnet) of Fredericton, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Basil was predeceased by his brothers, Lawrence and Clyde Wilson. There will be a Graveside Service at Burtt's Corner Community Cemetery on Monday, June 15, 2009 at 1 pm with Pastor Graham Crandall officiating.
