STAFFORD, RICHARD GEORGE The passing of Richard George Stafford, husband of Yvonne "Bonnie" Dunphy (Grant) Stafford, of Fredericton, NB, occurred at home on June 19th, 2009. Born on February 28th, 1933 in Marysville, NB, he was a son of the late Bernard and Amanda Stafford. Richard was an Instructor with the New Brunswick Community College in St. Andrew's, NB. He was a member of St. Andrews and Nashwaaksis Lions Clubs. Richard was a Past District Governor of 41-0 Lions club of New Brunswick and Maine, USA. He enjoyed playing piano and gardening. Besides his wife, Richard is survived by his children, Rick, Karen, Pete, Elaine, Lisa and their partners as well as 17 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; five sisters, Helen, Joan, Evelyn, Jean and Francis; two brothers, Ron and Dale. Although there will be no public visitation, a Funeral Service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009 at 2 pm with Rev. Lona Johnston officiating. A reception will take place in the Fireside Room. Interment will take place at Douglas Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Portage Drug Treatment Centre, Cassidy Lake, NB would be appreciated.
