62, Pleasant Bay Mary Jeanetta (Gwinn) Bishop, 62, of Pleasant Bay, Inverness County, died April 21, 2008, at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. Born in Aspy Bay, she was the daughter of the late Dan R. and Beatrice (Dixon) Gwinn. She is survived by two sons, Michael (Charmaine) and Larry (Joan), Pleasant Bay; three brothers, Phillip (Peggy), Fourchu, Dee (Mary), Ontario, Melvin (Kathy), Aspy Bay; brother-in-law, Donald (Theresa) Bishop, Pleasant Bay; sisters-in-law, Delvina Bishop, Pleasant Bay, and Martha Gwynn, South Harbour; several nieces and nephews; and five grandchildren, Colin, Whitney, Colton, Paul and Jade. Predeceased by husband, Colin Alexander in 1984, son, John Alexander in 1977, five brothers, Charlie, Clem, John, Jim and Robert, three sisters, Abbie, Effie and Livvie. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Pleasant Bay Professional Centre. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew’s United Church, Pleasant Bay, with Rev. Chris Matheson officiating. Interment in Pleasant Bay Cemetery. Donations may be made to Palliative Care-Sacred Heart Community Health Centre. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cheticamp Funeral Services Ltd.
