Stephen 'Stevie' Snook
Date de décès : 20 avril 2008
Jan. 31, 1954-April 20, 2008 In loving memory of Stephen (Stevie) Eric Snook Jr. It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of our dear father, son, brother and friend, Stephen Eric Snook Jr. on April 20, 2008. Everyone that knew Stevie knew he had a real love for life and people. He loved music and dancing and being with his family and friends. Stevie liked to play pool, swim and loved to watch hockey. He always was there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. His family was the most important thing in his life and he was extremely close to them. Early in his life he worked as a fisherman and left the water to pursue a career in long-haul trucking. He worked for Armour Transport so he could be closer to his family. Stevie was a very spiritual man who believed in his God Jehovah and the resurrection hope. He spoke to anyone and everyone who would listen to the message of the Kingdom Hope that he believed in so strongly. He leaves behind his two loving sons, Stephen (Tanya Wedge) and Mark, and the mother of his children, Roddie (Toomey), who always remained good friends. Also survived by his mother, Viola (Stoodley); sisters, Dorothy (George) Doucette, Brenda (Dave) Simmons, Cheryl (Jack) Campbell, Rhonda (Steve) MacMullin; brothers, Jimmy (Beverly), Sheldon (Cindy); several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Also left with great sadness are his very special friends, Blenda and Robin Whalen; his little buddy Zach and Tony MacIntosh. Steve was predeceased in death by his father, Stephen Sr., brother, Kevin, paternal grandparents, Morgan and Julia Snook and maternal, Frank and Lillian Stoodley. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 257 Reserve St., Glace Bay, Wednesday, April 23, at 2 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay.
