JOHNSON, AARON LEE Surrounded by his loving family, Aaron Lee Johnson of New Maryland passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, went to be with Our Lord on July 17th, 2009. Aaron was born on June 10th, 1987 in Saint John, NB. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Barron) Johnson, his parents, Kevin and Kristina (Brooks) Johnson of Clarendon, NB, brothers, Adam Johnson of Saint John and Noah Johnson of Clarendon, and his sister, Hannah (David) Shipley of Fredericton, NB and maternal grandmother, Nancy Brooks of Apohaqui and paternal step-grandmother, Shirley Johnson of Ontario. Aaron grew up in Clarendon, NB and attended Nerepis United Baptist Church. He was a member of the Welsford Sharks hockey team and the Royal Canadian Army Cadets 1777. He graduated from HVHS in 2005. He was a rifleman holding the rank of Corporal in the B Company of the Royal New Brunswick Regiment 1st Battalion. During his life he was an active young man who loved the outdoors. He was friendly and outgoing with a wonderful sense of humour. He enjoyed playing hockey, biking, camping, watching UFC, and hanging out with his friends. He was well known for his old blue truck which carried both him and Jen everywhere they wanted to go. He never gave up hoping and bravely battled his cancer. He was a very caring person who touched many lives and hearts. One of his wishes was to spend his final days at his homestead where family and friends could visit with him. Thank you to all the doctor, nurses, and staff at the Saint John, Fredericton, and Halifax hospitals for their care of Aaron. Special thanks to the Extra Mural nurses for their care and attention they gave to Aaron and his family. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) with visiting on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Monday at 2 pm from Nerepis United Baptist Church. Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery. Reception to follow at the NUBC Church Hall. Donations in memory of Aaron to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Children's Wish Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family.
