MARY ALMA SEXSMITH
SEXSMITH, MARY ALMA It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Alma Sexsmith of Fredericton on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in her 90th year. Born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick on December 28 1919, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Bertha (Riley) Magoon, and wife of the late Arthur Sexsmith. Mary is survived by her son Philip (April) of Fredericton; her sisters Kaye (Doug) Ketch of Fredericton and Marilyn Roper of Florida; four grandsons Vincent, Ronald and Douglas Catton of Saint John, and Michael Catton of Ontario; son-in-law George Day of Saint John; sisters-in-law Irene (Bill) Tracey, Freda Bergren and Frances (Frank) Kelly all of Saskatchewan; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Mary also leaves to mourn numerous faithful and loving friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mary was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Day; and siblings Helen Ingram, Elsa Williamson, and Donald Magoon. There will be no visitation by request. Interment will be in Mactaquac United Baptist Church Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made in Mary's name to the Fredericton SPCA, the Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation, the Red Cross, or a charity of the donor's choice.
