AMOS, CHARLES ARTHUR Mr. Charles Arthur Amos, husband of Jean (Watson) Amos of King George Hwy, Miramichi, NB, passed away Monday morning August 3, 2009, at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 84. Born in Doaktown, NB, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Annie (Price) Amos. He was retired from MVHS as a School Teacher/Vice Principal. He was a very active member of Newcastle United Baptist Church. He was a Deacon, Sunday school Teacher, Boy's Brigade Leader, former member on the board of Atlantic Baptist College, former member of the board of LaBonne Nouvelle, former member of Gideon's International. Besides his wife Jean, he is survived by two daughters, Gloria Quinn (Jim) of Miramichi, Gay Crossman (Terrence) of Riverview; one son, Gary (Bonny) of Lower Coverdale; four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents. Mr. Charles Arthur Amos is resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi, with visitation on Thursday August 6th, from 2-4 & 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 7th, at 2 p.m. from Davidson's Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Daniel Cormier officiating, assisted by Pastor Chris Keezer. Burial will follow in Miramichi Cemetery. At the request of the family donations to Gideon's International, Newcastle United Baptist Church or a memorial of ones choice would be appreciated.
