CARL STERLING On THOMAS

THOMAS, CARL STERLING On Wednesday, August 12th, 2009 Carl Sterling Thomas of Fredericton, passed away peacefully at his home at age 81. Born in Penniac, NB, he was the son of the late James and Lena Thomas (Steen). Carl was an avid sportsman; he loved to hunt, fish and enjoyed spending time and sharing stories about the "good ole days" at the family camp. Carl's passion for life and sense of humour was contagious. He cherished family get togethers and was very proud of his children and grand children. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Inez Thomas; two daughters, Valerie Hastings (Keith) and Ina Nicholson (Clifford); two sons Clayton Thomas (Guylaine) and Kyle Thomas (Patricia); grandchildren: Robby, Annette, Kerrie Anne, Doug Barrett, Ryan Scott and Mitch, Tyra, Turrell Thomas; ten great grand children; one brother Wilbur Thomas (Greta) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Bill and sisters Viola and Faye. Visitation will take place from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday, August 14, 2009 at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton. A service will be held at 11:00 AM on August 15, 2009 at the Hillcrest United Church in Stanley with Wally Ellis officiating. Internment to take place in the Cross Creek Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Wayne, Philip, Troy, Mitchell Thomas, Robby Barrett and Ryan Scott. Honorary pallbearers are, Bob Huskins, Austin Watson, Bill Batt, Danny Griffiths, David Kerr and Keith Thomas.
