TRESSA CREALOCK

CREALOCK, TRESSA Surrounded by family, Tressa (formerly of Pearsonville, NB) passed away at her home at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, NB, on Friday, August 21st, 2009, just two days shy of her 96th birthday. She was born on August 23rd, 1913, in Lower Brighton, Carleton County, NB, the eldest daughter of the late Earl and Welthy (Morehouse) Brown. Tressa attended Hartland High School and graduated in 1931 as Class Valedictorian. She then went on to graduate from the Saint John School of Nursing, in 1935, where she worked as a nurse until she married. Tressa married Charles Secord Crealock on October 4th, 1947. They resided in Pearsonville, NB, for 51 years. Tressa belonged to Woodland United Church, in Pearsonville. She was a member of the Berwick- Pearsonville UCW and W.I. She was a member of the Retired Nurses Association. The people of Pearsonville and Highfield communities always called upon Tressa to help with any nursing needs that arose. She loved to crochet, quilt and also enjoyed reading and cooking. She is survived by daughters, Margot and Gary Arnold of Fredericton and Ann and Darrell Munroe of Sussex Corner; son, Earl and Carolyn Crealock of Pearsonville; six grandchildren Jamie Arnold, Krista and Jay Morency, Melanie Crealock and Perry Crawford, Nathan and Tiffany Crealock, Kevin Crealock and Lindsay Crealock; four great grandchildren, Liam Arnold, Sydney Morency, and Leah and Kyla Crealock; step-grandson Robbie Munroe. She is also survived by brother Gilbert and Ester Brown of Lower Brighton; sisters Geraldine White of Middle Greenfield and Doris and Roland Dickenson of Lower Brighton; sister-in-law Alice Brown of Lower Brighton; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Willis Brown of Lower Brighton and granddaughter Elizabeth Grace Munroe of Sussex Corner. Resting at Sherwood's Funeral and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB with visiting Sunday from 3 to 5 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, August 24th, 2009, from Woodland United Church, Pearsonville, NB. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
