GLENWOOD EARLE EMBLETON
EMBLETON, GLENWOOD EARLE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Glenwood E. Embleton of Harvey Station, NB. He passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Sunday, August 23rd, 2009. Glen was born in Harvey, NB on May 1st, 1930, the son of the late Ward and Annie (Blakney) Embleton. Glen worked in Harvey for the Royal Feed Mill, then for many years at Briggs & Little Woolen Mills until retiring at age 65. Throughout these years, he was a successful dairy and beef farmer, winning many ribbons for his prize bulls. He was a longtime member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, serving as treasurer for forty years. He was a man of integrity and devotion to his family. Glen will be forever loved and missed by his wife, Barbara Ella (Hood) Embleton; two sons, Daryl Embleton (Lisa), Magundy and Vaughn Embleton (Marlene), Harvey; two daughters, Denise Cook (Carmen), St. Albert, AB and Deanna Moffitt (Richard), Harvey. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Adam Garvin, Jessica Garvin, Olivia Moffitt, Benjamin Moffitt, Christopher Moffitt and Caleb Embleton; two sisters, Clarice Flower (George) and Jeanene Buchanan (Ron), both of California; a brother, Stuart Embleton (Maria), Edmonton, AB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant granddaughter, Callie Embleton and a brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Myrtle Embleton. Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 27th, 2009 at 2 pm from funeral home chapel with Rev. George Clark officiating.
