TONY - CAMERON

CAMERON, TONY - Tony Cameron passed away unexpectedly at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Tuesday, August 25th, 2009. Tony started his career as a school teacher and later moved on to be a probation officer. He served Frederictonians as a City Councillor for nine years, fulfilling the role of Deputy Mayor when asked. He retired from the civil service in 2001 and drove taxi as a hobby to keep himself rooted in the issues of the community. Tony had a strong sense of community and loved Barkers Point, having lived there his entire life. To everyone who knew him, Tony was an idea man who marched to the beat of his own drum. He was a loving and devoted father to Darcy and Lindsay. His family and friends wish him a safe journey and he will be dearly missed. There will be no service by Tony's request. A visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Saturday, August 29th, 2009 from 6-9 pm. For those who wish, donations in memory of Tony may be made to the SPCA as he was an animal lover particularly to Bailey, Jenny, Smokey and Chicago. www.mcadamsfh.com (458-9170)
