DAVID BARRY - D. GRAHAM

GRAHAM, DAVID BARRY - D. Barry Graham of Rossville, NB passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on September 11th, 2009 with his family at his side following a courageous battle with cancer. Barry was born in Newmarket, ON on July 22nd, 1941, a son of the late Chester and Dorothy (Scott) Graham. He was a proud Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Lr. Southampton Branch 27 and received many awards from the Branch. He was an organizer of and an active worker at the suppers, breakfasts and "Steak & Stein" events that raised monies to keep the Branch going. Barry was a member of the Branch shuffleboard team for thirty years and played at the district and provincial tournaments. He enjoyed playing cribbage every day and the time he spent at the "Liar's Table" at the Branch. Barry had a lifelong career as a trucker, beginning when he was 16 years old until his retirement in 2000. Barry is survived by his wife, Doreen E. (Sprague) Graham; his children, Trent Graham (Janice), Hartfield, NB, Elaine Morehouse (Chris), Hanwell, NB, Patty Cote (Jerry) and Leah Shaw (Grant), both of Woodstock, NB; his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Trevor, Stephanie, Jeremy, Shelby, Levi and Isaac; several nieces and nephews, his best friend, "Norm" and by many other friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Douglas and a nephew, Danny Graham Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 at 2 pm with Rev. Bob Johnson officiating. A Royal Canadian Legion tribute service will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening at 7 pm. Honorary pallbearers will be Ross Carruthers, Paul Myles, Rick Love, John Curtis, Blair MacDonald, Charles Green, Paul Bastarache, Earl Scott, Jim Rockwell and Barry Shepherd. For those who wish to make donation in memory of Barry, the family has suggested the Southampton Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion or the palliative care unit at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. www.flewellingswan.com
