It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one Susanna Hutchings (nee Vokey) on June 24, 2008 at the age of 97 years. Susie was predeceased by her first husband Isaac Drover and second husband Thomas Hutchings; four brothers: John, Jacob, William and Bert; sister Mary Ann. Leaving to mourn five sons: Fraser (Frances), Calvin, Jerry (Rose), Phillip, Rody (April); three daughters: Mildred Miller, Margaret Legge, Daisy St. George; sister Alice Laymen, Gull Island; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank Drs. Macentire and Fleming and all the wonderful staff of the Fairhaven Unit of the Agnes Pratt Home, Old Topsail Road, for all their care and kindness. As well as Rev. Wendy Cronhelm for her prayers and support. Susie will be resting at Holloway's Funeral Home, Whitbourne. Visitation Thursday 6 to 10 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Dildo-New Harbour Corps. Interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Whitbourne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susie's memory to the S.A. Cemetery Fund or to the Alzheimer's Society.
