MILDRED ANNIE RUSSELL

RUSSELL, MILDRED ANNIE Mildred Annie Russell wife of the late William (Bill) Russell, passed away at Central New Brunswick Nursing Home in Boiestown, NB on September 17, 2009. Born on December 14, 1921 in New Jerusalem, NB, she was the youngest and last surviving member of the immediate family of the late John and Annie (Vallis) Elder. Mildred was a lifetime member of the United Church Women and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion. She was a 4H leader for many years. Mildred was a seamstress and mail carrier for over 35 years. Mildred is survived by sons, James (Ruth) Taymouth, John (Barbara) Taymouth; grandchildren, Adam (Lanore), Laura (Brent) Baggs, Jeffrey, Roderick (April); great grandchildren, Dawson and Colton and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Mildred was predeceased by her sisters, Edith McCullum, Florence Urquhart, Ruth Alexander and Joan Rubridge; brothers, Edward and Robert Elder. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, September 19, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Taymouth United Church on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 2 pm with Rev. Franklin Curtis officiating and Pastor Mike Trail and Rev. Robert Johnson assisting. Interment will take place in the Taymouth Cemetery. For those who wish, donations made to the Taymouth United Church Building Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
