Mildred Dorothy White (nee Daye)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mildred White at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital, Vancouver, B.C., on April 12, 2008, at the age of 92. Born in Glace Bay, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Jack and Sarah (McCormick) Daye. She is survived by her son, Kevin; grandchildren, Houston and Lindsey; daughters-in-law, Linda and Roxanne; stepdaughter, Joan; sister-in-law, Florence Nolan; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Melvin White, brothers, Alpheus and Russell and sisters, Olive Pemberton, Ethel Power, Edna White and Mabel Johnston. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Funeral services were held in Vancouver on April 22.
