KILFILLEN, VIOLET MARIE The death of Violet Marie Kilfillen of Minto, NB occurred Tuesday, October 6th, 2009 at the Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born October 1st, 1919 at Springfield, Kings Co., NB, she was a long time employee of the Government of Canada, serving the National Employment Services, Unemployment Insurance Commission and Manpower. Violet was a life member of the Baptist Women's Missionary Society and the United Baptist Church of Minto. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, many good friends and her church family. In addition to her parents, Violet was predeceased by her beloved husband Smithy in 2001. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home (327-3490) with visitation Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday, October 9th, 2009 at the United Baptist Church of Minto with Pastor P. Styles officiating. Interment will follow in the United Baptist Cemetery.
