RAYMOND JOSEPH THIBODEAU

THIBODEAU, RAYMOND JOSEPH It is with great sadness that the family of Raymond J. Thibodeau of Nackawic, NB announce his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on October 5, 2009. Ray was born in Bathurst, NB on October 22, 1937, a son of the late Arthur and Sarah (Haché) Thibodeau. He worked since 1970 at St. Anne Pulp and Paper in Nackawic, retiring in ten years ago. Ray had been a member of Granite Lodge #54 and an active member and a Past President of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 27. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, curling and golfing in his earlier years but his favorite hobby was his flower garden. Ray is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elva (Robichaud) Thibodeau; three sons, Rick Thibodeau (Bunny), Fort McMurray, AB, Bernie, Brantford, ON and Randal, Toronto, ON; two daughters, Christine Phillips (Norman), Charters Settlement, NB and Stacy Russell (Rod), Conception Bay South, NL; seven grandchildren; two great grandsons; four brothers; three sisters and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Otis Drive, Nackawic on Friday, October 9, 2009 at 11 am. Interment will follow at St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery. A Royal Canadian Legion tribute service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 6:45 pm. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Ray, the family has suggested the Canadian Cancer Society, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 27 or St. Simon and St. Jude Church. www.flewellingswan.com
