AMIRAULT, ELAINE ELIZABETH The passing of Elaine Elizabeth Amirault of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Raymond Amirault occurred on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 30, 1917 in Summerside, PEI, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Nettie (Gallant) Gallant. She was a member of St. Theresa's Parish, CWL, Nashwaaksis Lionettes, Charter member of Yarmouth Nova Scotia Lionettes, Yarmouth Legion Auxiliary member and an active member of the Conservative Party. Elaine volunteered at York Manor Nursing Home for many years. She loved her Thursday night card games at the Seniors Center on Johnson Avenue. Elaine is survived by her sons, Michael (Janet) and Allan (Debbie) both of Fredericton, NB; grand- children, Tammy Lock (Joey), Jason, Kyle and Katie Amirault; sisters, Inez Peters and Phyllis Wedge (Jack); brother, David Gallant (Adeline) all of Summerside, PEI and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Elaine was predeceased by her sisters, Isabelle and Della; brothers, Herbie, Harold, Allan and Bobby. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, October 16, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Theresa's Parish on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 11 am with Father John Jennings officiating. Interment will take place in St. Anthony's Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
