WORTHEN, PAUL LARKIN It is with great sadness that the family of Paul Larkin Worthen announce his passing on October 16th, 2009, after a long struggle with cancer. Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick April 2, 1929, he was the son of Osgoode and Mildred (Ferguson) Worthen. Paul leaves his loving family; wife, Betty Colleen; sons, Larry (Linda) of Dartmouth, NS, Tim (Kathi) of Surrey, BC and daughter, Susan Klein (Andrew) of Winnipeg, MB; grand-children, Lucy, Kristen, Alex, George, David and Drew; and brothers, David (Inger) of Calgary, AB and Donald (Bonnie) of Charlottetown, PEI and special cousin Mildred Dunphy. He was predeceased by his parents. Paul cared for people dearly and loved the friends he made at the Golden Club, YMCA, Capital Winter Club, Rover Scouts, Brunswick Street Baptist Church and his many other associations. Paul's family would like to thank Dr. Gordon Plummer, Dr. Andrea Garland, Extra Mural and the wonderful staff and volunteers of the Palliative Ward at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Saturday, October 24th, 2009 from 1-4 pm. A memorial service will be held at Brunswick Street Baptist Church on Sunday, October 25th, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Greg Geldart officiating. Interment will occur in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery Extension. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Brunswick Street Baptist Church directed to the New Building Fund or the charity of one's choice. www.mcadamsfh.com, 458-9170.
