ALLEN, RUTH MARIE The family of Ruth Marie Allen is very saddened by her unexpected passing at her home on October 24, 2009 where she lived closely connected to her family since 1947. Born on May 13, 1931 in Douglas, NB, she was a daughter of the late Herb and Stella (Curtis) Parent. Ruth made many special friends through selling Avon in her community for over 30 years, being a member of the Marysville Seniors Bowling League, working at the National Meat Market and Devon Save Easy for many years and was an avid member of the Penniac Quilting Circle. Ruth is survived by two daughters, Diane Allen (John Hanselpacker) of Harvey, NB, and Deborah (Fred) Cammack of Islandview, NB; one son, Arthur Allen Jr. (Ann-Marie) of Penniac, NB; three brothers, Ronald (Carol) Parent of Fredericton, NB, Donald (Ann) Parent of Saskatchewan, and Shirley (Ann) Curtis of Fredericton, NB; three sisters, Viola Petterson of Fredericton, NB, Jean Van Stone of Fredericton, NB, and Elsie (Don) Hoeppner of Indiana; five grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, and Dana Allen, Tina Wolters, Stephen Stewart, step granddaughter, Annette Cammack; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one daughter, Donna Marie Stewart; two brothers Phillip and Charles Parent; and one grandson, Shawn Allen. There will be no visitation by request of the family. A Funeral Service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 2 pm with Rev. Lona Johnston officiating. Interment will take place at the Penniac United Church Cemetery.
