BROWN, MARY JOSEPHINE The passing of Mary Josephine Brown of Boiestown, NB, occurred on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 11, 1930 in Hayesville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Lillian (Palmer) Hunter. Mary loved cooking and dancing. Mary is survived by her two sons, Donald Palmer of Victoria, BC, Kevin Palmer of Kelowna, BC; five grandchildren; three brothers, Harold Hunter, Lewis Hunter (Jean) and Vincent Hunter (Barbara) all of Astle, NB; two sisters, Camella Smith (Peter) of Hanwell, NB, Bertha Hunter (Vincent) of Oromocto, NB; one sister in law, Kathleen Hunter of Ludlow, NB as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by one son, David Palmer; one brother, Roy Hunter and one sister, Ethel Allan. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at 1 pm with Rev. Dr. Beverly Daley officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Fireside Room. Interment will take place in the Astle Community Cemetery. Donations made to the Astle Community Cemetery or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
