VON BARGEN, BEATRICE It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Beatrice (Betty) Emily Von Bargen (nee Witherell), 87 years old, after a brave battle on Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 at the Mindemoya Health Centre on Manitoulin Island, Ontario. Beloved wife and soul mate of Ewald of Evansville. Dear sister of Phyllis Gilks, Florence (John) Gibson and Marjorie Price all of New Brunswick, sister-in-law of Erna Zimmermann of Germany and Jackie Witherell of Ontario. Sadly missed by many relatives and friends. Betty was born in Manitoba in 1922 and moved with her parents to the Miramichi Valley (N.B.) when she was six years old. Predeceased by her parents Percival and Josephine Witherell of Blissfield and brothers Stanely and Ronald Witherell of Ontario. Betty was a bookkeeper for different companies throughout her life and was very organized in all her endeavours. She loved gardening, cooking, knitting, and loved working outside with Ewald around their spacious property. Special thanks to Dr. McRae, Dr. Bedard and the nurses of the Mindemoya Health Centre for their wonderful care and kindness they showed Betty.
