80, Sydney Mines It is with heartfelt sadness the family announce the sudden passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, Laura Caroline Iannetti, 80, a resident of Burchell Street, Sydney Mines, Thursday, May 1, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Gaultois, N.L., Caroline was the daughter of the late John and Lora (Porter) McDonald. Caroline taught business, retail and cosmetology for over 40 years at Patrick’s Beauty College in Sydney and was a 40-year member of the Cosmetology Association. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her three sons, Roy (Irene), North Sydney, Patrick (Fred), Sydney, and Sammy (Gayle), Sydney Mines; five grandchildren, Roy, Robert, Krystal, James and Pat; four great-grandchildren; and a special grandniece, Cindy (Earl) Budden, who was so kind to Caroline. She was predeceased by her husband, Pasquale ‘Pat’ Iannetti, her sisters, Sarah and Cassie and brothers, George, Phillip, Henry, Robert and Samuel. Visitation for Caroline will be held Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. Funeral mass Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, North Sydney, with Rev. Jim Attwood officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Foundation.
