YOUNG, ELAINE FRANCES Jan. 10, 1932 - Dec. 17, 2009 Elaine Frances (Matthews) Young wife of Paul Young of Fredericton and formerly of Newcastle, NB, who passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB on Wednesday, December 17, 2009 at the age 77. Born in Halcomb, NB, Elaine was the daughter of the late Frank and Janie (Holmes) Matthews. Elaine was a loving wife and mother and she attended St. Dunstan's Roman Catholic Parish. She will sadly missed by her husband Paul, one daughter: Debra Anne Martin (Keith) of Chatham, NB; two sons: Todd (Kathy) of Fredericton, NB, Dana (Mistie) of Riverview, NB; one sister: Roxanne Vanderbeck of Sunny Corner, NB; two brothers: Billy Matthews (Nancy) of Truro, NS and David Matthews (Margaret) of St. Catherine's, ON; Elaine will also be sadly missed by her five loving grandchildren: Jared, Aaron and Leigh Ann Martin, Lauren and Robyn Young; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Elaine was predeceased by her parents Frank and Janie, one son Robert and two brothers: Ronnie and Warren. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home on Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 9 am from St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Newcastle, NB with Father Tom Fowler officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery later in the spring. In Elaine's memory a donation may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or the NB Diabetic Association.
