TWIST, DORIS JUNE After a lengthy battle with Parkinson's our beloved mother Doris Twist, 86, died as she had always lived, peacefully and with dignity on Sunday, December 20th, 2009. Born in Saint John, NB, she was predeceased by her dear husband "Ollie." Doris is survived by her five children, Patricia (Cliff) Jones of Clementsport, NS, Stan (Sandra) of Seattle, WA, Judith (Lorne) Giesbrecht of Campbell River, BC, Clifford of Moncton, NB and Mary Jean (Greg) West of Stirling, AB. Also survived by one sister, Faye Charlton; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as one niece. In addition to her husband, Doris was also predeceased by her parents, William and Hazel (Johnston) Smith and infant daughter Pamela. The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff of Pine Grove for the respectful and compassionate care Mom has received over the last six years. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009 from 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Anthony Kwaw officiating with Rev. Joyce Perry assisting. Scattering of the ashes will take place at a later date in St. Paul's Cemetery in Goshen, NB.
