1966 - 2008, Sydney It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Linda Brown Dixon, age 42, on Saturday, May 3, 2008. Linda passed away at Braemore Home where she had been a resident of for the past several years. Born in Neil’s Harbour she is survived by her special mother, Agnes Dixon; sisters, Flora (Garry Noel), Juanita (Bernie Steele); brothers, Benny (Janie), Wayne Brown and special aunt, Thelma Dixon. Linda was predeceased by her father, Charles Dixon and her maternal mother, Cecila Brown. Linda will be sadly missed by all her friends and staff at Braemore Home, special friends at Sobey’s and Value Village in Sydney River. Also, she will be missed by Syd and Vicious who always took Linda for outings. There will be no visitation for Linda. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A graveside service will be held at St. Anne's Cemetery, Wallace Road, Glace Bay at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, with Fr. John MacIntyre officiating.
