1918-2008 The family of Elizabeth ‘Wibby’ MacMillan regret to announce her passing on May 3rd 2008, at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex. Elizabeth was a resident of Donkin, C.B., and the past year a resident of Seaview Manor Home for Special Care, Glace Bay. Born in Donkin, C.B., she was the daughter of the late John W. MacLeod and Jean (Robertson) MacLeod. Elizabeth was a member of St. Luke’s United Church, Donkin and a past Nobel Grand of Queen Victoria Rebekah Lodge and a former employee of the British Canadian Co-op. She is survived by sons, Alex (Carol), Donald (Joan), Kevin (Lyn); daughter, Frances; daughter in-law, Lorna. Elizabeth is also survived by sisters, Helen MacLeod, Donkin, Ruth (Hugh) Reid, Glace Bay; brother, Donald (Phyllis) MacLeod, Glace Bay; sisters in-law, Lois MacLeod, Donkin, Gladys MacLeod, Glace Bay, Viola MacLeod, Ont.; a large extended family with many nieces, nephews and cousins; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Hayward (Ham), Elizabeth was predeceased by son, William (Billie); brothers, Neil, David R, John, Robbie, Alex; sisters, Annie Murrant, Isabel Clark and Jean MacLeod. Visitation for the late Elizabeth MacMillan will be held Monday, May 5, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home & Chapel, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520. Funeral service will be on Tuesday May 6, 2008 at 2 p.m. at St. Luke’s United Church, Donkin with Rev. Donald MacDonald officiating. Interment to take place in St. Luke’s United Church Cemetery, with reception to follow in the church hall.
