WARK, ALLISON HARRY The death of Mr. Allison Harry Wark, husband of Muriel (Machum) Wark of Rothesay occurred on January 30, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Andover, N.B. on December 9, 1926, he was the son of the late Harry and Mildred (McRae) Wark. He grew up and attended schools in Andover, N.B. In 1958, he and his wife, Margie (Mayes) Wark, who predeceased him in 1971 moved to Nashwaaksis, N.B. where they raised their family. He was a civil engineer and was employed with NB Power for 42 years, retiring in 1987 as the Director of Engineering and Construction. Among his many projects were those at Beechwood dam, Mactaquac dam, Coleson Cove, and Point Lepreau. He was very involved in his community, as a coach for minor baseball and hockey when his children were young, as a member of the Masonic Order, as past- president of the Nashwaaksis Y'smen's Club, and served on the Town Planning Commission for the City of Fredericton. He was an avid snowmobiler and salmon fisherman, and worked at golf. In 2000, he and wife, Muriel moved to his much loved home in Rothesay overlooking the Kennebecasis River. He is survived by his wife Muriel his children Valerie (Ed) Paquet of Quispamsis, Gregory (Tara Russell) Wark of Woodstock, Robert (Claudette) Wark of Hunter Lake, stepdaughter Marion Webb of Saint John, stepson Stephen (Karen) Webb of Fort MacMurray, and stepdaughter Crystal (Darrell) Armstrong of Rothesay. He had six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and four great grandchildren who he loved very much and was so proud of, as well as his little dog, Karli. He is survived by his sister, Jean Dixon of Limestome, Maine. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701) with visiting on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and from 12 to 1 pm on Wednesday. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1 pm from Castle "Fallsview" Chapel. Following the service a reception will take place at the Amsterdam Inn, 114 Millennium Drive, Quispamsis, N.B. Family flowers only. Donations to IWK, Canadian Cancer Society, NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family.
