CHRISTIE, MABEL RACHEL Mabel R. Christie of Harvey, York County, NB, beloved wife of the late Earl Christie, passed away with her family by her side at Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam on February 9, 2010. Mabel was born in Lorneville, NB on May 4, 1913, a daughter of the late Frederick and Whilhelmina (McCavour) McCavour. She was a caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother to all her family and their spouses, loving each of them equally. Mabel had attended the Plymouth Brethren Assembly since she was sixteen years old. She is survived by her children, Norma Cole (Gerald), Harvey, NB and Stanley Christie (Barbara), Harvey, NB; her grandchildren, Charlene Cormier (Fred), New Glasgow, NS, Donna Hoyt (Roger), Harvey, NB, Nelson Cole (Dawn), Harvey, NB and Sheryl Williams (Jeff), Harvey, NB; her nine great grandchildren, Nathan Hoyt (Sarah), Shannon Hoyt, Colin Cormier, Aimee Cormier, Emilie Cormier, Justin Cole, Katie Cole, Shaun Williams and Courtney Williams; her in-laws, Donald Parlee, Addie McCavour and Norton Christie (Irene), all of Saint John, NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Mabel was predeceased by four brothers, Lenard McCavour, Warren McCavour, Roland McCavour and Gerald McCavour, five sisters, Mildred Wilson, Stella Hargrove, Audrey Alderman, Edna Belyea and Lois Parlee and a great grandson, Jeffrey Cormier. Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 1826 Highway 3, Harvey Station, NB on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. George Clark, Cameron Wilkin and Pastor Hubert Perkins officiating. Interment will be later at Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
