CORSCADDEN, ERVIN T. - At the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 15, 2001, after a period of failing health having reached his 87th birthday on December 11, 2001. Predeceased by his wife of 57 years Thelma Marguerite (McPherson) Corscadden in 1997. Born in Maces Bay, he was the son of the late Fred V. and Florence A. (Campbell) Corscadden. He was the last member of his immediate family, predeceased by brothers Ross K. in 1996 and Clifford G. in 1975 and a sister Doris I. Wright in 1989. A fisherman for most of his life, he also worked for the C.P.R. at the Port of Saint John and received a certificate of honor for 25 years of service in the brotherhood of railways. He was a life time member of the Maces Bay United Baptist Church, he served on many committees and was treasurer for many years. Active in community affairs he was a past master of the Maces Bay Kings Own Lodge # 140 Orange Order. He also served a term as County Master of Saint John County West. As a member of the Fundy Bay Senior Citizens Club, he had served as President for two terms. He was the secretary of the Maces Bay Cemetery Corpation from 1967 until recently. Survived by son Gary and his wife Dawn of Rothesay, three grandchildren Angela Kiley (Paul) of Waverely, N.S., Shelly Donahue (William) of St. Stephen, N.B., and Michael Corscadden (Kelly) of Norton N.B., five great grandchildren Sean, Scott, Sarah Kiley and Delayne and Wylie Donahue and several nieces and nephews. Resting at the Castle "FaIlsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave.,(634-1701). Funeral service will be held at the Maces Bay United Baptist Church on Tuesday December 18, 2001 at 2 PM. Interment will take place in the Maces Bay Cemetery in the spring. Visiting at "Fallsview" on Monday December 17, 2001 from 2 - 9 PM. Donations to the Maces Bay Cemetery or the Fundy Bay Senior Citizens Hall would be appreciated by the family. Following the service a reception will be held at the Fundy Bay Seniors Citizens Hall.
