Nov. 22, 1917-May 7, 2008 Sydney Mines Mary passed away following a lengthy illness, at the Northside General Hospital, Wednesday, May 7, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Jane (Smith) MacLean. She was a devoted and loving mother, who always thought of others, rather than herself and she was a woman of great faith. Mary loved her two cats, Frankie and Blue. She is survived by her children, Mary (Andrew) MacDonald, Ethel (Russell) Fraser, both in Sydney Mines, Billy (Brenda), George’s River, Jimmy and Beth, at home. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Roger (Deneene), Mark (Gwenna), Robert, Chris (Janice), Francine, Kimberly, Michelle, Kevin and Jacqueline; and her great-grandchildren, Andie, Camden, Zachery and Kiah. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill, her infant daughter, Sandra, her brothers, Donald, John, Elliot, and sisters, Lee and Ava. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Visitation today (Friday), 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday at 2 p.m. in Immaculate Conception Church with Fr.
