It is with profound sadness that we the King family announce the passing of our matriarch Georgina "Jean" (Ploughman) King on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Dr. GB Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, aged 90 years. Georgina is predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Albert Victor "Vic" King. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Douglas (Linda), Clarenville, Austin (Joan), Saskatoon, Thomas (Donna), Kitchener-Waterloo and Ewart (Rosalind), Clarenville; daughters: Linda (Al), Ottawa, Donna (Gary), Red Deer, Una, Clarenville and Lorna (Boyd), Clarenville; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service held at Fewer's Funeral Home on Thursday, June 26, 2008 with interment at Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clarenville-Bonavista Shrine Club in aid of Shriners Hospitals for Children. Georgina's strong and quiet spirit not only held our family together but guided us through each of our life's journeys. Her love, respect and strong dedication to her family will always be remembered.
