EVELYN BERNICE (SCOTT) (CROWE) ARMSTRONG
ARMSTRONG, EVELYN BERNICE (SCOTT) (CROWE) - The death of Mrs. Evelyn Bernice (Scott) (Crowe) Armstrong of Kennebec Manor, formerly of Loch Lomond Rd., Saint John, NB, wife of Murray J. Armstrong, the last surviving member of her immediate family, occurred at her residence on Sunday, February 17, 2002. Mrs. Armstrong was employed with McAvity's in the office and later the Saint John General Hospital as a Ward Attendant for several years, she was an active member of Silver Falls United Church and a life time member of her church's U.C.W. Mrs. Armstrong also belonged to the Dominion Lodge #18 of the L.O.B.A, Edith Cavell Chapter. Besides her husband Murray, she is survived by two sons: Merritt (Doris) Scott of New Maryland, NB, Paul (Joanne) Scott of Markhamville, NB, one stepson, Rev. Gary (Sandra) Armstrong of Cape Cod, USA, two daughters: Myra (Mrs. David Roberts) of Markhamville, Cheryl (Mrs. Paul Livie) of Ajax-Pickering, ON, two step-daughters: Barbara (Mrs. Don Satterwhite) of Richmond, VA, and Sue Wennt of Richmond, BC. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren: Brad, Jeff, Andrew, Matthew, Todd, Tina, Michelle, Aaron, Amy, Alyson, Alisa and Garrett, seven great-grandchildren: Reid, Alexander, Lynzee, Owen, Gabriel, Nicholas , Alexandra, a special niece, Vera Boyle of Saint John, NB and two sisters-in-law: Verna Maxan and Myrtle both of Saint John, NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Armstrong is predeceased by her first husband Harold G. Scott who passed away in 1960, two brothers: Ora and Leonard Baxter, four sisters: Lillian Rogers, Dorothy Miller, Vera MacDonald and Lois Turner. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424) with visitation from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2002 from Silver Falls United Church at 11:00 a.m. There will be an L.O.B.A. tribute service on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Interment in Knox United Church Cemetery, Markhamville, NB.
