65, Glace Bay James Alexander MacNeil, 65, of Glace Bay, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, May 13, 2008. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Jim and Janie (McKay) McNeil. Alex was a member of Immaculate Conception parish, Glace Bay. Alex is survived and will be missed by his sisters, Mary (Ignatius) McNeil, Dominion, Ann (Fred) Hawlett, Toronto; brothers, Charles (Flo) McNeil, Edmonton, and Raymond, Sydney. Also many nieces and nephews; and his companion, Mary Vatters. Alex was predeceased by one brother, Robert (Bob) McNeil. In honouring his wishes, cremation has taken place under direction of Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St. Glace Bay. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Friday in Immaculate Conception Church, Glace Bay, with Fr. Gerald Campbell officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
