88, Albert Bridge/Ottawa We are sad to announce the passing of our wonderful mother, Mabel Nash (Keeping), Monday, May 19, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Harbour Breton, N.L., she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret Keeping. Mabel is survived by daughters, Beverley (Ron) Kennedy, Hillside/Mira, Maxine (Roger) Buck, Main-a-Dieu; son, Melvin (Carla) Nash, Ottawa, Ont.; and sister, Mary Smith, Meaford, Ont. She is also survived by grandchildren, Chris, Susan, Greg, Debbie, John, Anthony and Michael. She was predeceased by her husband, John Nash in 1999, and sisters, Emmie, Lottie and Addie. Visitation will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, May 21, at 12:30 p.m. followed by service at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel with Capt. Bill and Major Velma Preston officiating. Interment will take place in Ottawa at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or charity of choice.
