
DR. JOSEPH G. CYR
CYR, DR. JOSEPH G. - At the Grand Falls General Hospital, March 31, 2002, Dr. Joseph G. Cyr of Saint-Andre passed away at the age of 79 years. He was the husband of the former Patricia Dube. Dr. Cyr was a veteran of World War II. Born at Edmundston in 1922, he was a son of the late Arthur Cyr and of the late Mary McIsaac. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Guy (Barb) of Roxboro, Quebec, Arthur (Cleo) of Quispamsis, Claudette Dumas (Camille) of Bathurst, Elizabeth Ouellette (Antoine) of Sainte-Julie, Quebec, Patricia Cyr of Brockville, Ontario, Pauline Meagher (Lauchie) of Manitouwadge, Ontario, Suzanne Godbout (Gaston) of Grand Falls, Parise Cyr Page (Morel) of Saint-Leonard, Jose, Raquel and Pedro, all at home, 17 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two brothers, Leonide of Moncton and Leo Donald (Micheline) of Edmundston, three sisters, Virginie Cyr of Saint-Basile, Dorothee Melling of Iroquois and Constance Bennett (Victor) of Kingston, Ontario, as well as several nieces and nephews. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. His funeral will be held Thursday, April 4th at 11 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with Father William Rice officiating. Interment will be in the Assumption Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to the Cyr Foundation for Young Retirees or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
