79, Sydney Mabel Louise Weatherbee, 79, of Beech Street, Sydney, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008, at the QEII, Halifax. Born in Grand Falls, N.L., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ivy (Pomeroy) Hillier. She was a member of the Church of Christ the King, Sydney. Surviving are her daughters, Ruthanne (John Paul) Wareham, Halifax, and Joanne (Michael) Nesbitt, Saint John, N.B.; sons, Robert (Claudia), Ranceford (Bernita), Ralph Jr., Clifford (Marilyn Stevens), Joseph, John, Maxwell (Marie) and William, all of Sydney; sisters, Sadie (Ronald) Dinn and Jennifer (Leo) Tomko, Sydney; brothers, Ken, Oromocto; N.B., Edward, Sydney, and David (Theresa), Howie Centre; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mabel was predeceased by her husband, Ralph, sisters, Geraldine Brace and Hazel Fougere, brothers, Maxwell, Robert ‘Wince’ and Silas. Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel, Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday at the Church of Christ the King, with Rev.
