Diane Georgina Rideout
49, Halifax It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Diane Georgina Rideout, at the Victoria General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of the late William Stanley and Marion Hazel (MacSween) Rideout, born in Sydney, N.S. She is survived by her dearly beloved son and her life’s treasure, Andrew, and her siblings, Wayne (Linda), Gary (Debbie), Brenda (Dave Shannon), Nancy (David Power-Fardy), Kenny and sister-in-law, Kathy, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and many beloved friends. She was predeceased by her brother, William Stanley. Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m., Friday, May 30, with funeral service Saturday, May 31 at 2 p.m., both in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax. A visitation will be held at 1 p.m., Monday June 2, until service time at 2 p.m. in St. Andrew’s United Church, 40 Bentinck St., Sydney, N.S. Interment to follow in Forest Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, any tributes or donations may be submitted in trust for her son, Andrew Williamson.
