Sr. Hélène Mannette, in religion, Sr. Marie Ste-Lina, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at 553 Elmwood Dr., Moncton, at the age of 97 and in the 69th year of her religious profession. She was born in Larry’s River, N.S. She was the daughter of the late James and Marie (Pellerin) Mannette. Besides her religious family, she is survived by one niece in Canada, Helen Pellerin, Larry’s River, N.S. She is also survived by nephews and nieces in the U.S.A. She was predeceased by three sisters and one brother. Sister spent the greater part of her life as a teacher, in Cheticamp, Arichat, Petit-de-Grat and D’Escousse, in Nova Scotia; also in Barachois, Dalhousie, Lorne and Belledune, in New Brunswick. Later on in her life, she took a sewing course which enabled her to serve as a seamstress in Nash Creek, Lorne, Arichat and L’Ardoise. Remains resting Friday, May 30 from 2 p.m. at 553 Elmwood Dr., Moncton (Vice-Provincial House of Filles de Jésus) from where the funeral mass will be celebrated in the chapel, Saturday, May 31, 10:30 a.m. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral Home, Moncton. 506-858-1900. www.frenettefuneralhome.com
