1937-2008 It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and friend on her 71st birthday, June 3, 2008, surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Minnie Camus and Charles LeDue. She is survived by her sons, Reginald (Judy), George (Marion) and Donnie (Kerri Ann); daughters, Darlene (Murray), Beverley (Michael), Rose (Donnie) and Mabel; grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, Tara, Victoria, Alicia, Cortney, Michael, Brandon, Andrew, Ashley, Krysta and Keigan. She is also survived by her sister, Delvina Camus (Rudolf), Cheticamp; special aunt, Louise Sollazzo; nieces, nephews and special friend, Isabelle Cooper. Victoria was a kind and gentle lady whose life vocation was bringing joy to her family and friends. She was a member of St. Theresa Church, past member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 138, Ashby, ladies auxiliary and her favourite club, the Cape Breton Belles, a small club of ladies who met weekly for over 40 years. In honour of her request, there will be no visitation. In celebration of her life, a memorial mass will take place at St. Theresa Church, Friday, June 6, 2008, at 10 a.m., with Rev. James Oliver officiating. Interment in New Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Cape Breton Palliative Care Unit.
