Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex on Friday, June 27, 2008, John Joseph Power, age 73 years. Predeceased by his parents Leo and Nellie Power; brother Gordon and sister Judith. Leaving to mourn brothers: Douglas (Linda) of Ottawa, Ontario; Neil of St. John's; Randy (Judith) of Barrie, Ontario; sisters: Helen Keough of St. John's; Catherine Bordeau (George) of Boucherville, Quebec; Yvonne Deaton (Mike) of Brighton, Michigan and Sharon Manuel of St. John's; also leaving to mourn Christine Hillier, the daughter he never had, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to take place on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's Church with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
