89, Sydney It is with deep sadness that we, the family of Violet Wilson, 89, a longtime resident of Carefield Manor and more recently, the Cove Guest Home, formerly Furnace Street, Sydney, announce her passing Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at the Cove. Born in Whitney Pier, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Eliza Falconer. Surviving are daughters, Donna Delvecchio, Sydney, and Carol (James) McKay, Stettler, Alta.; sons, Raymond (Judy), British Columbia, and Gary (Karen), Sydney; sisters, Blanche Burton, Truro, and Florence Robertson, Sydney River; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Violet was predeceased by her husband, Earl, sisters, Pearl and Amelia, brothers, Amos, Ben, Joe and Roy. Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel, Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel Monday, 2 p.m., with Maj. Velma and Capt. Bill Preston officiating.
