45, Sydney Kevin Francis MacLean, 45, of Sydney, formerly of the Shipyard, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Sydney, he was the son of Beverly (MacNeill) MacLean. He was a member of St. Anthony Daniel parish, Sydney. Kevin attended Sydney Academy and enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces and served for three years in the navy. He was employed with various companies in the Maritimes and Alberta for several years. He is survived by his daughter Melanie of Alberta; sisters, Shelley (Greg) Penney and Jean (Philip Snow), brother, Ralph, all of Sydney; and by several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation for the late Mr. MacLean. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday at 11 am at St. Anthony Daniel Church with Rev. Donald MacGillivary officiating.
