73, Marion Bridge It is with deepest sorrow, that we the family, announce the passing of our loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Marina Polegatto, 73, who passed away at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, surrounded by her family. She was born in Poulamon, Richmond County, N.S., where she lived until she was 15 years old and then moved to Sydney where she met her loving husband and soulmate Bruno. She was the daughter of the late Henry Wm. and Delina Mary (Boudreau) Landry. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Mission ladies auxiliary, Marion Bridge. Marina worked at Sun Café, Sid’s Used Furniture and then Woolworths until 1963. Since 1963 to 2008, she and her husband Bruno ran the family business of Bruno Polegatto Contracting Limited. She is survived by her husband, Bruno Vigilio; children, Bruno Jr. (Angela), Mark, all of Marion Bridge, Lisa, Sydney, Kevin (Lisa Monaghan), Marion Bridge; siblings, Gordon Landry (Donna), New Hampshire, Eleanor McDonald (Hubert), Lorraine Rolls (the late Wes), both of Sydney; grandchildren, Jennifer and Chad Polegatto, Halifax, and Ryan MacMullin, Sydney. She is also survived by her aunt, Lena who was like a mother to her. She tirelessly gave of herself to help others. Visitation for the late Marina Polegatto will take place at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, today (Thursday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Rev. Norman MacPhee officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks. Donations may be made to the Cancer Clinic at Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
