Harry Lilly
(July 20, 1924 - June 28, 2008) WWII Veteran - 59th Nfld. Royal Artillery Regiment Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, June 28, 2008, Harry Lilly of Heart's Delight - Islington, aged 83 years. Predeceased by his wife Jean (2002), daughter, Joyce Harnum (1991), son-in-law Robert Harnum (1992) and grandson Shane Seward (1995). Left to mourn with loving memories are his three sons: David (Debbie) of Bracebridge, Ont., Bob (Dianne) of Elmsdale, N.S. and Steve (Faye) of Coehill, Ont., his three daughters: Helen (Herbert) Anthony of Makinsons, Betty (Junior) Jackson of Cavendish and Bev (Clyde) Seward of Hearts Delight-Islington, as well as 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also lovingly remembered by his brother Eric Lilly, Gander, sister-in-law, Jean Lilly, Waterdown, Ont., and brother-in-law Allan (Nellie) Reid, Gander, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Resting at the SUF Lodge, Hearts Delight-Islington from Monday, June 30, 2008 until the time of funeral. Funeral to take place from St. Matthew's Anglican Church in Hearts Delight-Islington on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Matthew's Anglican Cemetery.
