71, Reserve Mines The death of Dave Marsh, 71, of 526 Atlantic Dr., Reserve Mines, occurred at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, Saturday, June 14, 2008, following an extended illness. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Henry (Fuff) and Victoria (MacDougall) Marsh. He spent his working years with Eastern Bakeries as a driver-salesman and later with the College of Cape Breton in the print shop. For over 30 years he operated his own print shop at his residence. A member of St. Joseph’s parish, Reserve Mines, he held a keen interest and took an active part in all church services and activities. He had great devotion to St. Therese and St. Anne. Surviving are his wife, Dolores (MacNeil); his aunt, Faustina MacDougall, with whom he resided prior to his marriage; brother, Henry, Glace Bay; sisters, Patricia, Jeanie and Lorene, Glace Bay, and Myrna, Souris, P.E.I.; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, cousins; his wife’s brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Rose MacNeil, North Sydney, and their family and grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Malcolm F. Marsh, sister, Rose Anne, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. MacDougall and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marsh and stepmother, Sally Marsh. Visitation will take place at Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay, Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, 2 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, Main Street, Reserve Mines, Rev. Gerald Campbell as celebrant and his uncle, Rev. Anthony Marsh, SFM as con-celebrant. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, MacLeod’s Crossing. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery Fund.
