DOUGLAS, ERNESTINE RITA - The death of Ernestine Rita Douglas of Fredericton, spouse of Albert Douglas occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Thursday, September 26, 2002. Born in Saint Leonard, NB, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Alphonsine Martin. Ernestine was a retired sales representative for NB Tel. She was a member of the Saint Dunstan's Church, the Fredericton Golf and Curling Club, and past member of the Capital Winter Club. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three brothers, Roland Martin (Jean) of Montreal, Robert Martin (Joan) Laval, PQ, and Jerome Martin (Linda) of Dorval, PQ. Five sisters Geraldine Morrison of Pickering, Ontario, Patricia Ambrose of Montreal, Mary May Wilson (Vaughan) of Fort Erie, Ontario, Pauline March (Charlie) of Williamsport, Penn, USA, and Joanne Huntress (Peter) of Limestone, Maine, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one brother Albert Martin, and one sister Alvine. Although there will be no visitation, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 30, 2002 at 2 pm from Saint Dunstan's Church, Regent Street, Fredericton. Monsignor Brian Sheehan will be the Celebrant. Interment will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to any charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
