57, Beaver Cove Sandra Marie MacLean, 57, of Beaver Cove, passed away Friday, June 27, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in North Sydney, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Leona (MacNeil) O’Handley. Sandra was employed as a LPN at the Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck, and Harbour View Hospital, Sydney Mines. Sandra is survived by sons, Blaine, Ronald and Francis and their father, Joe MacLean, all of Alberta; brothers John (Sydney), Blaise (Debby), Campbell’s Hill, Sandy (Colleen) Alberta, Francis, Alberta; one sister, Anicetus (Vincent) Jankowski, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Tristen Michael MacLean and Michaela MacLean, Alberta. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Alexander, brothers, Stephen, Leon, Ronald, George Francis (in infancy) and Hugh (in infancy). Visitation for the late Sandra MacLean will take place Monday, June 30, 2008, in St. Andrew’s parish, Boisdale, from 12-2 p.m. Funeral mass will be held 2 p.m., Monday, June 30, 2008, in St. Andrew’s Church, Boisdale, with Fr. Paul Abbass officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
