77, New Waterford It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, Christina (Tina) Fiore, Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Waterford, Tina was the daughter of the late Norman and Lucy (Tighe) MacLeod. Tina and her husband, Joseph, lived for a number of years in Toronto, where she worked in the cafeteria at Toronto Hydro and did volunteer work with the Salvation Army. She also enjoyed a good game of cards and bingo. Tina is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Joseph Fiore; sons, John, New Waterford, Terry (Diane), Glace Bay, Francis (Rebecca), New Waterford, David (Janis), New Victoria, Joey and Morley (Pat), both of Ontario; daughters, Janette (Ken), Orangeville, Susan, Cathy, both of Ontario, and Leeann (Tony), New Waterford; 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Louis Fiore and Bucky Sives; and sister-in-law, Amelia McLeod. A special niece and nephew, Corrine Petrie and Norm McNeil, who were like a brother and sister. Tina was the last surviving member of her family and besides her parents, she was also predeceased by brothers, Norman, Neil, Norman, sisters, Regina, Carmella, Ethel, Christie Effie and Christina, grandson, Justin, uncle, Harry Tighe and aunt, Charlotte Tighe. Visitation for Tina will take place Thursday, July 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, N.S., 862-7500. A funeral mass to celebrate Tina’s life will be Friday, July 4 at 11 a.m. at St. Leonard/St. Agnes Church with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. A luncheon will follow at St. Agnes parish hall, all are invited. Donations in Tina’s memory may be made to the Diabetes Association.
