June 3, 1938-June 14, 2008 Ottawa/Glace Bay We regret to announce the death of Eugene AuCoin, Ottawa, formerly of Glace Bay. He was the son of the late Alfred and Mary (McInnis) AuCoin, Steele’s Hill. Eugene is survived by children, Stephen, Danny and Margaret, Ottawa; sister, Julia Fitzpatrick and brother, John (Josephine); in-laws, Art, Doreen, June; many nieces and nephews. Also the staff and friends of the Shepherd of Good Hope and Hospice Mission, Ottawa. He was predeceased by sisters, Katie, Margie, Lizzie, Theresa, Clementine and Jessie, brothers, Benny, Angus, Simon, stepbrother, Bernie Hart and companion, Jean Sherridan. Cremation took place in Ottawa. Funeral mass to take place at St. Anthony’s Church, Thursday, July 3, 2008, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Conrad Edwards officiating. Reception to follow in church hall.
